Corflex BiFold Partitions
The Bifold Premier door folds vertically towards the outside creating an awning when it is retracted, resulting in an impressive opening. Architectural aluminum tubing construction provides superior strength, yet is surprisingly lightweight. Corflex provides the frame, drive mechanism and controls, leaving the choice of covering or finish material open to the architect to meet the design need. While most applications have begun with mill finish frames for the field completion of the design, the framework can be clad, painted, anodized or can be skinned with just about any material in ways limited only by the imagination Whether the covering desired is glass, translucent plastic, brushed aluminum, stainless steel, decorative wood, concrete or stucco, the bi-fold door is designed and prepared to accept any material. In the case of exterior applications, the bi-folding door is engineered to meet specific wind load requirements. The Premier’s bi-folding operation offers a unique way to provide access through large openings as the door takes up almost no side room and very little headroom, needs no tracks on the floor and comes equipped with simple, automatic push-button operation. The Bi-fold doors have been used on such high-end projects as Dow Diamond baseball park, Midland, MI, the Daniel Guggenheim Aeronautical Building at Massachusetts Institute of Technology Cambridge, MA, the Guthrie Theater, Minneapolis, MN and the Carnegie Museum of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA, amongst others. With the Bi-Fold Premier motorized door, Corflex offers the design community another brilliant and exclusive way to optimize space.
